Town Hit Nine in goal blitz

Town welcomed AFC Ashford and AFC new captain and x Town player Sean Mchugh to the Howard School for their second meeting of the season. Town took all three points back in October with a 2-0 win. Faversham started brightly putting Ashford on the back foot.
11 minutes in and Sam Wheeler with his trademark bicycle kick made the breakthrough Liam Druggan’s free kick cleared the ball bounced behind Wheeler who finished superbly with his overhead effort.
Ten minutes later Town doubled their lead Druggan with a great cross from the right picked out Theo White who finished neatly for his first goal for Town on his debut start.
It didn’t take White long to bag his second goal of the game placing his free kick on the edge of the AFC area into the right hand bottom corner of the Ashford goal.
Liam Druggan in on the act with a well executed volley after a great leaping header from the impressive Alfie Davey captain Dan king first to the clearance with another powerful header Ashford cleared again but this time fell to Druggan who gave Ashford keeper no chance.
Next Town goal scored by Carlos Dos Santos who swivelled quickly in the AFC area and finished instinctively good strikers finish.
Dos Santos with his second a scruffy goal but Dos Santos did well to get some contact with his diving header and watch his effort scramble under the keeper
Town kicked off the second half introducing Bragg Wragg on for Griffths and Joe Lester for Sam Wheeler. Town carried on where they left off from their clinical first half performance.
Dos Santos rounded off his hat-rick poaching a goal in the six yard box curtsy of Ryan Clarks persistence heading across goal to give Dos Santos an easy finish.
Another good goal from the young Lilywhites Davey with a probing cross from the left Lester rising high to guid his header to the on rushing Clark who finished calmly at the back post.
Town finished their scoring for the day Big Joe Lester watched his lobbed cross from the right flank evade the stranded AFC stopper and nestle in the left top corner of the Ashford net.
A very impressive attacking display from Town some quality football played the young Reserves moved the ball quickly and never let Ashford settle. Great team performance both Town Keepers Bowey and Wood kept clean sheets back line of Macca, Griffths, Wragg and Davey didn’t give the Ashford forwards a sniff. While captain Dan King drove his team on controlling midfield Sam Wheeler, Druggan and Arnold attacked Ashford at every opportunity while forwards Clark, Dos Santos and Lester were always a threat. Man of the Match Theo White his movement and quality with the ball set the pace of the game to Towns advantage.
