Faversham Town continued their winning run with a hard fought away win at Thamesmead
Town started brightly and scored after just 5 minutes when wing-back Zac Argent flashed a ball across the goal from the left which was met by Samuel George to tap home.
It's been a common theme this season which has helped to elevate the team & Samuel George to top scorers in the u18 Premier Division North.
Town continued to dominate but quickly tired as Thamesmead started to get some possession themselves.
Our hosts were rewarded with a goal after 26 minutes from a well worked free kick.
Town keeper James Hare was given no chance as the ball was rifled into the top right corner.
Faversham soon regained their lead when Louis Bioletti was first to react to a monster free kick from James Hare from the edge of his area. Bioletti read the bounce perfectly and calmly prodded home to reward his excellent half.
Half time 2-1 to Town
The second half was fairly even with few chances as most of the play seemed to be restricted to the midfield areas.
Town were pretty comfortable and never really looked like losing their lead until a rare lack of concentration lead to a back pass being intercepted by the opposition. A one on one chance to equalize and perhaps put our hosts on the front foot went begging as the alert James Hare rushed out and made himself big to deny a goal.
The shock woke up Town who went on to dominate the remainder of the game.
Captain William Hadler secured the points when he nodded home at the far post from a corner kick.
Full time 3-1
