FA CUP - IT'S WORTHING!

3 weeks ago By Brian Flynn

FAVERSHAM TOWN have been drawn at home to Worthing in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup.

The West Sussex-based side – nicknamed The Rebels – are currently third in the Bostik Premier Division, one division above the Lilywhites.
The match will be played at Shepherd Neame Stadium on Saturday 8 September, kick-off 3pm.
Former Brighton defender Adam Hinshelwood’s side are unbeaten after four matches unbeaten – but were dumped out of the FA Cup at the same stage last season by Dorking Wanderers.
It is the tenth consecutive season that Town have reached the first qualifying round of the cup.
The club banked £2,890 for beating Hackney Wick in the Preliminary Round – and would win another £6,000 if they overcome Worthing.
