FRONTMAN Ashley Miller has been selected in a Bostik South East Team of the Season.

Despite the Lilywhites finishing third bottom of the league (with Thamesmead Town folding midway through the season), only ahead of Greenwich Borough and Guernsey, the 24-year-old was named in the side - chosen by @toptargets on Twitter - after scoring 13 goals in Town's 2018/19 campaign.

He was on target in Faversham's season-ending 2-1 victory at East Grinstead Town, with Jamie Maxted netting the winner.

Led by Cray manager Tony Russell, Ashford's Sam Mott was picked between the sticks in the team.

Jamie Fielding (Hastings), Jay Leader (Cray) and Mitchell Nelson (also Cray) make-up the three-man defence, with former Gillingham prospect Miller, Jack Brivio (Horsham), Callum Saunders (Haywards Heath) and Alex Laing (also Haywards Heath) forming the midfield.

That leaves Zak Ansah (Hythe), the experienced Charlie MacDonald (VCD Athletic) and Daniel Ajakaiye (Hastings) to complete the team.

Previously, former midfielder Wayne Wilson was named in the Ryman South Team of the Season for the 2014/15 campaign, while Maxted was picked in the same side a season earlier.
