Player Roundabout

The player roundabout is active again. Faversham Town FC today announce the departure of two players from the ranks to join ex-boss Justin Luchford at Whitstable.

Only weeks after returning, Lee Shearer has left after Luchford offered him a deal that could not be matched by the Lilywhites.

The other departure is Damian Abel, again to the Belmont. Earlier in the season, Folkestone Invicta tabled an offer for Abel but was taken up. Then Abel spoke to Ramsgate but again no deal came about. Now, with Abel unhappy about his role in the Faversham team, has decided to leave and ply his trade down the coast.

Faversham Town would like to thank both players for their contribution over the years they played at the club.

Damian played 122 games for the Lilywhites and came off the bench 4 times to play, scoring 45 goals in the process.

Lee's stats are incomplete at this stage and will follow on in due course.
