25th July 2006 FAVERSHAM TOWN'S third annual golf day, the Bob Mason Classic, tees off on Friday - and there is still time to join the fun. Some 100 golfers have entered the 27-hole event at Boughton Golf Club which will be followed by a Summer Party at Salters Lane featuring music, a comedian and a hog roast. And non-golfers can chip in and show their support for the born-again club by buying an evening-only ticket for the bash which takes place from 7.30pm in a marquee on the pitch. Chairman Bob Mason said: "We're really looking forward to another great golf day. Not only do we have the golf medals to give away we also have medals to present to our footballers after last season. "That aside, there is a raffle with some really exciting prizes as well as an auction of sport memorabilia. "It's our biggest fund-raiser of the year and I'd like to invite all our supporters along to enjoy themselves." Evening-only tickets are still available by calling Town's commercial manager Ray Leader on 07709 395001. Organisers have now released the tee-off times for the morning Stableford event sponsored by Damian Langiano, managing director of IT hardware supplier Reform Technologies.
