ROSS CABLE has vowed to fire the
goals that deliver the Kent County
League title to Faversham Town.
Striker Ross remains the club's
leading scorer despite moving to Kent
League Thamesmead with his brother Rikki at Christmas.
The boys returned to Salters Lane a
fortnight ago claiming to have
missed the fantastic atmosphere at the stadium where the average
crowd is over 150.
Rikki, who lies second in the club's
goal charts with nine goals, is
suspended for Saturday's visit of Bromley Green.
But Ross is determined to make up for
two below-par performances by
securing three precious points for the Town.
He said: "We should have scored
at least two each in the game against
Crockenhill and we were both poor at Stansfield.
"But I can assure everyone we
both love being back here and we will
get the goals that win us the championship.
"Saturday's game is a massive
one and we need three points."
Ross, who has scored 10 goals for Town this season, said he was
comfortable with the pressure but warned that it was a team game and
everyone had to pull their weight in a successful side.
He explained: "Rikki and I have
come back with alot of expectation on
us to deliver which we don't mind at all.
"However, the team is about more
than just me and him. It might sound
funny but it's taking time to adjust again to the team and the
league
even though we were playing in the league above.
"But, like I say, it's great to
be back and now we want to give the
fans something to cheer about."
