13th June 2006

BOB MASON is heading for the dressing up box ahead of Faversham
Town's annual golf day on Friday, 28th July.

The third Bob Mason Classic promises to be the Salters Lane club's
biggest fund-raiser of 2006 with more than 100 competitors battling
it out over 27 holes for both team and individual prizes.

But this year there is a twist with golfers being invited to add a
splash of colour by taking part in the Best Dressed Team Award.

The JJ Quartet cut a dash at last year's event when they launched
their defence of the magnificent Coulter-Lott trophy resplendent in
matching black polo shirts.

Bobby and pal Dave "Goose" Clarke have now threatened to take the
sartorial stakes to a whole new level by donning colourful plus
fours, shirts and headgear at the popular event which is being staged
at Boughton Golf Club.

But chairman Bob insisted: "It's just a bit of fun and please don't
think it's compulsory. We don't want to scare anyone off! This is my
third golf day and the money we raise is invaluable as we look to
continue the redevelopment of the football club.

"They're also great fun and I'm really looking forward to this
year's event."

The Bob Mason Classic costs £60 per player or £240 per team of
four. The costs includes coffee and bacon roll on arrival,

Ploughman's Lunch and a ticket to the Summer Party at Salters Lane in
the evening. Party-only tickets are also available priced £15.

Golfers will be competing in an 18-hole morning Stableford event
before doing battle in the nine-hole Texas Scramble. Prizes are on
offer to the first three teams in each event as well as the first
three individuals.

Bob added: "Another change this year sees the presentation switch
to Salters Lane where we are having a Summer Party with a marquee on
the pitch and a hog roast.

"There will be music and a comedian - it is all shaping up to be
bigger and better than ever before and I would urge golfers to book
early to avoid disappointment.

"While we can accommodate as many as we like in the evening, there
is a limit to the number of tee times."

Entry forms for the 2006 Bob Mason Classic are available for download
