A superb free-kick from Jack Tanner and two well taken goals from Damian Abel sealed victory at Park View Road as Justin Luchford's Lilywhites secured their place in the semi-final of the Premier Leagu Cup against a Deres side that had much of the possession but failed to break down a resolute Town side.
From the first whistle the home side pushed forward in an effort to claw back the one goal defecit from the first leg, Matt Bedford's early shot from the left easily cut out by Town keeper Rob French.
Further chances followed as the home side dominated possession in the opening fifteen minutes although French's goal was rarely under any real threat.
Town's first real chance came after 16 minutes, Richard Sinden receiving the ball on the edge of the area before finding the space to shoot just wide of Matt Bromby's left hand upright.
The match continued in the same vein - Deres bossing the midfield with the visitors seemingly content to soak up the pressure and break on the counter attack.
The deadlock was broken on 39 minutes with Town awarded a free-kick some 25 yards out on the left hand side, Tanner calmly placed the ball before firing the ball into the top left corner of Bromby's goal as the Deres' keeper looked on helplessly.
As half time drew near Town doubled their leadcourtesy of Abel's fourth goal in ten days, a squared ball found Abel on the edge of the area, the Town striker dropping his shoulder and turning to lose his defender before chipping the ball over Bromby who was several yards off of his line.
With the tie now effectively over the second half saw the home side make the last of their substitutions on the hour mark although Deres' manager Richie Radbourne curiously left central defender Dave Waters to continue despite being in obvious pain from the start of the second period.
A well worked move from the home side ended with a consolation goal for David Milton whose powerfull strike flew past French who could only deflect the ball home despite an acrobatic dive.
Dane Luchford came on to replace Dave Botterill on 66 minutes with Sinden and Tanner also making way in the dying minutes for Dan Ellett and Craig Preston respectively as the Lilywhites saw out the final minutes.
With seconds remaining Faversham added their third goal of the night, Abel in space on the left hand side cutting in unchallenged before lobbing the ball past a stranded Bromby for the second time in the match.
With semi-final places now secured in the League Cup and the Kent Senior Trophy Luchford's Lilywhites now refocus their attentions on the League as they prepare to face Tunbridge Wells at Salters Lane this coming Saturday, their first home league fixture since November, before travelling to face Deal Town on the following Tuesday night (9th February).
Saturday's match kicks off at 3 pm.
