Faversham Town were, once again, in goal scoring form as Salters Lane played host to Deal Town in this Bulmers Cider Kent Premier League fixture in front of a home crowd of 84.

Town started brightly and took an early lead on 9 minutes with Liam Wybraniec heading home at the near post after connecting with a well placed Dave Botterill corner kick.

The visitors found the back of the Town net on 15 minutes, Stuart Vahid ruled to have handled the ball as he slotted home past Town keeper Carl Hodgson.

Deal had a further chance to take the lead on 20 minutes, a poor clearance from Hodgson fell to Mark Pollard who should have made more of his chance on goal.

The remainder of the first half saw the home side continue to dominate affairs albeit without further troubling Deal keeper Paul Rogers.

The second period saw Town continue to set the pace and on 61 minutes they doubled their lead courtesy of Wybraniec's second of the evening, a Dane Luchford corner kick lofted into the box was headed back by Shane Hamshare into the path of Wybraniec who coolly headed past Rogers in the Deal goal.

The impressive Luchford also played a part in goal number three, being brought down in full flight inside the penalty area. Skipper Damian Abel made no mistake as he stepped up to convert the spot kick.

Manager Justin Luchford replaced the hard working Craig Thompson with Chris Oyebanjo on 74 minutes.

Town's fourth goal on 81 minutes was a strange affair with Oyebanjo adjudged to have been fouled inside the area although any appeal by the Town side was cleverly muted.

The resulting spot kick was once again calmly converted by Abel as he fired home for his 21st goal of the season.

As the final whistle blew it was an impressive and resounding victory for the home side with Deal failing to trouble the Town defence throughout the 90 minutes.

The Lilywhites face a sterner test this coming Saturday when they host in form side Erith & Belvedere at Salters Lane, kick-off at 15:00.
