IT was par-tee time at the Bob Mason Classic more than 100 people 
enjoying Faversham Town's annual golf day on Friday.
The third annual event was this year followed by a Summer Party at 
Salters Lane this year where guests enjoyed a hog roast, disco and a 
comedian.
KINGS FROM THE CASTLE...The Castle Oares, led by skipper Steve

The fun followed a gruelling day of golf with temperatures soaring 
into the 90s as competitors fought their way around 27 holes at nearby 
Boughton Golf Club.
The presentation saw Sittingbourne quartet Ballbag United scoop the 
top prize of the day, the Coulter-Lott Trophy, after racking up an 
incredible combined Stableford score of 158 points. Second were former 
Town boss Paul Prior's team Prior Notice on 155 points with Rossi 
United third on 153.
IT'S IN THE BAG...Ballbag United from Sittingbourne lifted the  
Coulter Lott Trophy after winning the 18-hole Stableford with a  
whopping 158 points
The individual event brought a three-way tie at the top of the 
leaderboard but Stuart Tossell took top spot on a back nine countback 
from K Murphy and I Cusselle after all three scored 44 points.
The Texas Scramble produced more excellent golf with landlord Steve 
Bassett and his Castle Oares closing with SEVEN straight birdies to 
take the Hammond Cup. The Football Legends from North Kent were second 
with Reform Technologies third.

History was made at this year's event with Sittingbourne golfer 
Graham Walker scoring a hole in one at the par three third - the first ace at 
the Bob Mason Classic.
Meanwhile, Martin Apps and his team of Pink Pigs added a splash of 
colour to be named as the best dressed team.

Chairman Bob Mason said: "The golf day remains our biggest 
fund-raiser and we must thank all our kind sponsors including Damian Langiano from 
Reform Technologies and Julian Winding who backed the two competitions.
"Everyone seemed to have a great time both at the golf and afterwards 
back at the clubhouse where chief executive John Webb and his team did 
a great job making sure everything ran smoothly.
